There is a rising tide of liberal professors and activists who want to rip from the pages of history everything that points to America’s greatness.
In Texas, these groups tried to exclude Einstein, Christmas, and even the words of the Constitution from social study standards. The want to rewrite history in own secular worldview and strike out the founding principles – those Judeo-Christian values -- that made this nation great.
America is unique, and the next generation of Americans needs to know this truth!
America is the world’s first working representative democracy. We’re a nation of immigrants, who came together under a common bond and stand for self-evident truths that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
Concerned citizens fought these groups recently in the the battle to adopt new standards by the State Board of Education (SBOE).
But we must remain ever vigilant. The next battle will be the adoption of new textbooks.
