Students Win in the Batte for Truth in Texas Social Studies Standards

The battle for truth in social studies was hard fought in Texas recently when the State Board of Education (SBOE) adopted new social studies standards.

Liberal fringe groups tried to prevent the teaching of our Judeo Christian heritage, American Exceptionalism, National Heroes and even the words of the Constitution!

But Concerned Parents, educators, and everyday citizens fought back and the truth prevailed! New standars were adopted and will be set for the next decade.

Yet the battle is not over, the radical left is now working to destroy the SBOE, thus removing the people's voice from the process of setting curriculum standards. Why? Because they want unlimited control over what students learn and to radically change the worldiew of our next generation by distorting history.

These groups are already planing to introduce legislation in th e82nd Texas Legislative Session to strike down the SBOE, and appoint their hand picked "experts," to make all the decisions for our children's education.
